I am actually looking forward to learning how to unicycle. I also learned that there are as many types of Unicycles as there are types of bicycles. I’m really thinking this touring on a unicycle is going to catch on. My wife ordered a standard 24" wheeled unicycle. If that goes well, I’m thinking a mountain uni is in order.

Wake me when they have recumbent unicycles. The only way to travel.

Hey they are already fix geared so that’s one hipster feature built in.

Man, I was riding recumbents before the word “hipster” existed.

What do you ride? I’ve been tempted, but the price has always deterred me from taking the plunge. When I lived Houston, there was a shop which specialized in ‘bents, so I had a chance to ride a few. The trikes were just too low, but I found a lwb that I thought was fun.

Ahhh, the Standup Paddleboard of the terra firma. A very inefficient way to make forward progress, but the bragging rights are worth it.
/also thinking about one

Actually I haven’t ridden one in 30 years. The two manufacturers I knew were both local to central Indiana, both long since out of the business.

I will do a full review after I learn how to ride it. The basic 24" wheel version is $195 shipped to the house so the cost of entry is very reasonable.

I look forward to mentions of it in forthcoming police blotter episodes...
